I tested new Panhard 24CT on 1964 in Tokyo. Finally 40 years later I get this car!

What was 40 years car industry history? 

Still this car's design and mechanism is unique and brightness!

I believe car designers or engineers must see these cars again and get new idea.

These pictures are still this car was in Europe.

Real flatdeck style and this design was start early 60's like BMW,NSU Print or Chevrolet Corvair.

Front and rear pillars are unique design and covered by stainless steel.

Also both bumpers are made by stainless steel.

Headlights is most characteristic element of this car's design.

It is beautiful lighting!

This is position light on twilight time.

I believe designer didn't  like set up additional blinker light and he put it in here.

It was no good idea,this is so hard to see from other cars.

This is good sample of "Designer's dream is owner's nightmare".

Trunk lid open wide and unbelievable luggage room is there!

One problem is small luggage in depth, I can not reach it.

This is master clinder of brake system,reservoir tank is glass jar!

Four drum brakes have beautiful aluminum fins and this is a point of exteror design.

Front seats can adjust 1764! positions.

Steering wheel is not real round,it is oval.

Center of dushboard you can see vertical bobbin and click it,you can adjust 6 ways heating.

Power unit is hot version "Tiger engine", it is air cooled flat twin 848cc with 60HP like BMW motorcycle engine.

Valve system does not using coil springs?

This valve system using torsion bar!,vertical cylinder (near plug) is case of torsion bar. 

Suddenly I show up photos of old Japanese Zero fighter's Sakae engine.

Now I helping restoration this engine.

This is photos of Panhard Tiger racing engine,it is very similar because both engine has mono block engine (head is not removable) and has twin spark plugs to each cylinder.  

Now you know Panhard engine is based by air craft technology and has great power from small engine.
